D’andrea contacted me when she first starting planning her wedding and after this rough year decided it was best for her family to switch to and elopement. She knew right away what style she was going for and when she started describing the details to me, I couldn’t contain my excitement. It was one of those shoots that I knew was going to be so similar to my style and that made it even more fun! There was pampas grass everywhere and the moody overcast weather gave the perfect lighting for her moody photos. Her bouquet was made by a neighbor turned family friend and I instantly told her she needs to quit her day job and pursue florals, just look at that bouquet!
The best thing about deciding on an elopement is the possibility to customize! D’andrea and James had the time in their day to have a larger amount of Bride and Groom photos than most weddings do. There’s also no stress or worry about how your dress looks or the weather, they were running through the water letting the wet sand get all over them until the very last bit of sun. Tell me you would forget something like that on your wedding day! Some of the best moments come from just letting go and letting the day happen. The possibilities really are endless for elopements!
Congrats to Mr + Mrs Macheel!
“Ahhhhh talk about the best photos of my life!!! Aly did our beach wedding and it was more than perfect! She made me feel the most beautiful I ever have, made me feel like a super star! Never in my life have I had a photographer make me feel so comfortable in front of a camera especially my hubby! (He HATES pictures) She has the best tip and tricks too!!! Made us giggle for the best life style photos, we had to whisper our favorite sandwich toppings in weird voices and those pictures are my favorite! The smiles on our faces were 100% genuine! Can’t wait to get behind her lens again!!!”
